Systems Development Analyst - West Yorkshire

A global solutions leader is looking to add an experienced Systems Development Analyst to their European Development team. Are you a fast learner? Do you possess a high level of drive to succeed? Based in West Yorkshire, you will reporting into the Development Team Lead, and will work closely with developers, architects, and end clients.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You would be responsible for installing and maintaining test environments (OS, OPOS drivers, DB2, etc)
  • You will be required to manage and deploy code (Self-Service / POS code, etc)
  • Create, test and publish application builds
  • Describe custom configuration via written technical documentation
  • Analysis of development issues
  • Performing small programming tasks
  • Investigate application functionality issues and provide 2nd Line Support

Skills / Experience required:

  • You must have a minimum of 5 years IT Support / Analysis / Development experience within a retail environment, preferably with retail Self-Service / POS solutions
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of retail solutions
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with software development / other technical roles within retail
  • Extensive knowledge of hardware platforms, operating systems, and data processing
  • A good knowledge around software development (Java, XML, C and C++)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio)
