Business Development Manager – Hosted Telecoms / West Midlands, UK

A fast-growing and widely established Telecommunication Solutions provider is seeking a proven Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across their Hosted Services portfolio in the Midlands. The business have a wealth of experience to the sector with a strong portfolio of clients across a range of markets and verticals and are now considered to be a leading name in mobile, fixed, and hosted solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the sale of Hosted VoIP/PBX to Commercial and Corporate clients with an ability to want to enhance their portfolio offering to sell across a broader portfolio of IT Services and Solutions encompassing Data Networks, Connectivity, Mobility, Cloud Storage and Security.


  • With support of Telemarketing, you will be tasked to identify, develop and maximise opportunities for new business development their Hosted Telecommunications portfolio.
  • 360 sales cycle management from lead generation through to opportunity creation, proposal, negotiation, close and ongoing account management in a field-based sales capacity.
  • Consult with clients of any size, collaborating with Technical specialists to assist in unearthing further opportunities for sales
  • Develop strategy to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets.
  • Sell across the broader portfolio of IT Services and Solutions, Mobility, Connectivity, Cloud and Security

What we’re looking for

  • Hungry and enthusiastic with a track record in new business development into the SME/Midmarket/Corporate sectors
  • Strong background and understanding of Telecommunications and able to consult with new business clients to effectively open and close opportunities in a client-facing sales capacity
  • Adaptable and able to open up cross-sell opportunities of the wider Telecommunications and IT portfolio

Alongside a competitive starting salary of £30,000-35,000 our client offers an exceptional opportunity for earning potential, with on-target scope to earn circa. £60K year one. Within the role there is significant ability to progress; with career spotlight available for strong performers.
