Job Title: Senior Network Design Engineer
Location: Remote with visits to client sites when needed
Salary: £60-70,000 per annum + bonus + package
Our client is a global leading Cisco Gold Partner who are looking to grow their network consultancy practice. We are looking for someone with a strong Cisco background covering Data Centres, Wireless, Enterprise Networks, and Next Gen Firewalls.
In this role you will act as the technical SME for projects supporting the sales and delivery teams, attributing to the creation of technical documents (HLD, LLD, SoW), project delivery, technical escalation, technical design workshops, and customer presentations.
This would be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their technical knowledge and have an employer willing and able to support them through industry recognised certification and professional development.
Key Technology (including but not limited to)
- Cisco hardware, switching and routing in Datacentre and Enterprise Networks
- Nexus 7K, 5K
- Next Generation Firewalls including Firepower, Fortigate, Palo Alto
- Cisco WLC 5500, 9800 series, Cisco 3702, 3800 and 9100 series Access Points
- Cisco DNA
- Cisco ACI, SD-WAN
- Wireless (Cisco, Meraki, or Aruba)
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience covering the key technologies above
- Strong understanding of core TCP/IP protocols
- CCNP certified
- Strong written skills, and ability to create design and SoW documents
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting in front of customers
