Salary: £55,000

Role:

My client is looking to hire for an experienced IT infrastructure engineer to lead a small team of talented tech staff.

This role will remain hands on with project work while also being responsible for upskilling of the infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to own the delivery of Infrastructure support, maintenance & project delivery. Responding effectively to incidents and requests restoring service or fulfilling requests as quickly as possible whilst communicating with all relevant stakeholders. Providing cover for the Head of Systems, Services & Operations as required. To provide a problem management function for Infrastructure & Networks. To drive Infrastructure standardisation, documentation, performance, and knowledge both within Technology Services and the wider business. The key responsibilities are:

Technical Requirements

• Expert in Windows Server design, build, management, and maintenance in a multidomain environment.
• Expert in VMWare design, build, management, and maintenance.
• Expert in Active Directory including AAD, GPOs & UAC.
• Expert in management and ongoing improvements of Microsoft 365 including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive & Exchange Online.
• Strong experience in hybrid cloud environments and modernising legacy infrastructure.
• Strong experience managing Intune policies and configuration, with the ability to troubleshoot autonomously.
• Experience of working with network switches & firewalls with the ability to troubleshoot autonomously.
• Experience of working in an environment aligning to ITIL best practice and focusing on the business impact.
• Experience in delivering small projects as well as owning workstreams within larger programmes.
• Experience in DevOps.
• Experience with containers such as Docker.
• A good understanding of cyber security principles and a security first approach to infrastructure design.
• Ability to take log files and events then problem solve and root cause analyse ambiguous incidents.
• Ability to lead and develop people.
