IT/EPOS Field Service Engineer

Concept are currently recruiting for I.T / Epos Hardware Field Service Engineers for a 3 month contract in Scotland

Open areas to cover are Glasgow, Livingston and Aberdeen.

Our clients Field Service team is made up of passionate, friendly and experienced engineers dedicated to providing exceptional IT solutions and support to the Retail industry.

We are looking for someone that has a background of working with IT/ EPoS hardware and is ready to deliver an amazing service. You will receive a range of experience and exposure, with lots of support and fantastic employee benefits / care.

Working hours:

• Monday - Friday
• 9am - 5.30pm

Package-

• £120.00 - £150.00 per day payable via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
• Van and fuel Card can be provided (Vehicle disclaimer must be signed)
• Mileage claimable after 50 miles per day, claimable at 0.30ppm
• Overtime applicable after 10 hours
• All parking, tolls and congestion claimable with receipts

Job Description:

• Onsite support
• Field based work
• Diagnostics, swap out and replacement of both IT hardware and Retail IT hardware - including cables and peripherals
• Hardware rebuilds and basic configuration
• New system installations
• AV and some Printer repairs
• Communication with clients
• Support, procedures & ticket management
• Work in conjunction with customer policies and processes
• Maintain skills and knowledge required to perform the role to the required standard and be accepting of further training
• Embrace new technologies and adapt to change
• Achieve KPI of 5 visits/ fixes per day

Requirements:

Understanding (MUST HAVE):

• Setup/ Installation of EPoS, scanners and chip and pin
• Setup/Installation Windows 7,8,10 and MAC OS

Basic Knowledge / understanding (MUST HAVE):

• AV, Printer (Scan to mail/Printer), EPOS

Must have

• Attention to detail
• Self-starter and driven towards excellence
• Able to work under pressure
• Works well autonomously
• Able to hit the ground running
• 2+ years solid IT OR Retail experience
• IT certified (either or all - Microsoft, Cisco, A+, N+) desirable
• Good customer facing skills
• Ongoing collaboration with team members to improve on current systems and processes.
• Ability to pass BPSS & SC Clearance as these may be required to complete if successful/ during assignment
• Own vehicle with business insurance required
• Must own and be willing to utilise personal, standard engineering tool kit
• Must be willing to provide DVLA check

This contract has been deemed an inside IR35 role, therefore you will need to be paid via umbrella company. The above rates are the umbrella company rates subject to weekly fee and deductions
