IT/EPOS Field Service Engineer

Concept are currently recruiting for a I.T Hardware Break-fix Field Service Engineer to cover the Northampton area.
Our clients Field Service team is made up of passionate, friendly and experienced engineers dedicated to providing exceptional IT solutions and support to the Retail industry.
We are looking for someone that has a strong technical background and is ready to deliver an amazing service.
Job Description:
- On-site support
- Field based work
- Diagnostics, swap out, break fix, upgrades and builds of both IT hardware and Retail IT hardware - including cables and peripherals
- Desktop, Network and EPOS / Retail Tech
- Device and connectivity troubleshooting
- Device imaging and configuring
- Device swap outs and connectivity cabling, Wi-Fi
- Device installs, moves, decommissions.
- Device stock control and asset management
- Proactive maintenance, user familiarisation and guidance.
Must have:
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter and driven towards excellence
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale devices.
- Familiarity with Cielo and Microsoft tablets, Lenovo / Dell Desktops and Laptops, KVM switches, Routers.
- Knowledge of Windows operating system and associated technologies
- Knowledge of peripherals and their maintenance - printers, scanners.
- Be SLA focused and familiar with call management products.
- Familiarity with support procedures, scripts, and processes.
- Proven troubleshooting skills.
- Awareness of Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance would be desirable.
- Good customer facing skills
- Ability to pass DBS Clearance (with potential need for BPSS) as these are required to complete if successful
Package & Working details:
- Monthly Rolling Contract
- £145 per day Monday - Friday
- Must be available between 9.00 - 18.00
- Own vehicle required
- Mileage applicable after 50 miles payable at 0.35ppm
- Parking and Tolls claimable with receipts
This contract has been deemed an inside IR35 role, therefore you will need to be paid via umbrella company. The above rates are the umbrella company rates subject to weekly fee and deductions
