Fire Engineer - £33,000 - Dudley
Our client are a leading UK specialist in security solutions in the commercial and Industrial areas. Based in Dudley in the West Midlands they have an ideal base to serve the UK & Ireland.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Engineer join a successful, ambitious, growing company established 25 years ago.
Seeking an aspiring and self-motivated individual to take on brand new role and drive it forward through quality of service and leadership.
Key Duties;
- Completing all new installations and maintenance of fire alarm and security systems to BAFE/NSI/BS standards according to design drawings and specifications.
- Commission and Service fire alarm systems and associated products at client sites, and taking responsibility for the maintenance of these systems
- Carrying out alterations (modifications) of existing fire alarms
- Testing and Inspecting Fire Alarm Systems
- Complete small and larger installations as part of a team or on your own
- Servicing and diagnostic repairs to various fire alarm systems
- Complete reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Conducting Repairs
- Fault Finding
- RAMs - preparation of risk assessments and method statements
- Ensuring inspection records are correctly recorded
Skills/Experience;
- BS 5839-1 Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings. (Non-domestic properties)
- knowledge of GENT, Protec , Kentec,, Morley, Hyfire, Ziton, Advanced Electronics.
- Compliance with industry standard
- Worked within a BAFE / SSAIB / NSI certified company.
- Knowledge of British standards
- 3 years minimum experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer
- Knowledgeable about all fire safety codes and regulations

- Full UK driving licence
- Able to pass a DBS check
